Us doing our skit! We did a dance!
This year it was stake girls camp! The theme for camp for "A soul fitness retreat" and each ward had a name that went along with fitness, we where the Rock Hard Abs! It was at our stake properity up Spainsh Fork canyon! Yes, it rained a lot but we still had fun and let me tell you how impressed I was with our girls! They never complained about the weather, they all had amazing attitudes! My love for them truly grew up at girls camp and I was able to see their amazing spirits. We left last Wednesday, when we got there we had time to set up camp and then it rained! That night we got together with the stake and had a great fireside on dating. Thursday morning had breakfast and went to our mini classes. Our YW president did a great class on nutrition, and let me tell you I will not be eating a donut for awhile... Thanks Dawnie! Then we where scheduled to do the zip-line, so we hiked up to go do got there and it rained! Luckily there was a pavillion close and we took cover, still no complaining about the rain instead we hid out and play Big Booty! Finally, our priesthood holder saved us and made a couple trips up to get us all. That was the biggest storm we had and once we got back to camp we where stuck in our tents for a good hour and a half. That night we got together and had skit night! That was really fun, our ward was the only ward to have their leaders in it! After skits where all done we sang camp songs as a stake and then our ward went back to our fire and sang for a while. Friday morning we did some more mini class went back up and did the zip-line then got ready for the Bishopric to come. When they got there we did our skits for them and they did a skit for us!! In the middle of the Bishoprics skit the stake president pulled and watched, lets us just say I dont think they will ever hear the end of it!! That night the Stake YW presidency planned an amazing night hike for us. We started out in the premortal existence and travel around the mountains to the various stages of life and ended up in Heaven. This made me miss Taylor, Mark was with me, so bad I could not help but cry. The next morning we backup and came home. I am so grateful for the amazing girls we have and I am grateful that I serve with WONDERFUL women who I learn so much from. We did not get cell phone service where we were but "Cell Phone Hill" was not too far and our great camp director made sure I could call and check on Taylor almost everyday afternoon. I love our ward and I loved girls camp this year!
