Update on New Baby Sandgren

So, in July I took a pregnancy test... it was positive! I called the doctor scheduled my first appointment. When I was about 4 weeks along I spotted for two days, called the doctor they said not to worry, I did for a couple days but stopped because I felt like this baby was meant to be with us. As I prayed I got the feeling that this baby was eagerly awaiting its time to come to earth. Well, a couple weeks went by! I was nine weeks along when my first appointment got cancelled...grr I was annoyed. A week later my rescheduled appointment got cancelled and was told my doctor was taking a leave of absenses. So, I got reschedule with a new doctor for the next week. This appointment never got cancelled and I finally made it to my first appointment. During this appointment the docter could not find a heartbeat... and since I bled they decided I had better have an ultrasound to check everything out. Before we left he told me my uterus only felt about 9 weeks along... we thought I was 12. So, we went and got an ultrasound, this is where we where informed that we where off on our dates... okay but by how much? Our baby was only measuring 6 WEEKS... which means it was conceived early August. Also the heartbeat was only at 117 and had to be moniter until it got to 120 I told her I had a positive pregnancy test in July... hmm. Well, she said I could have miscarried and got pregnant with a couple of weeks. The next week I went back in and it was up to 142!! At this time I found out my doctor was back and was taken to her office. Looking at my ultrasound she tells me baby is healthy... thank goodness! She also has no explanation to what happened... still dont know for sure what happened. We where just happy to have a healthy baby, with a little frustration to learn that I was 5 weeks less then I thought. 4 weeks later went back in for my regular scheduled visit and we could not hear the heartbeat, being only 10 weeks my doctor was not too worried. So today I went back in the make sure we could hear it and we did!!! This pregnancy has been for more stressful then the first, but am finally glad to know everything is progressing and doing well. This puts me due on May 1st!

Our Lil Cougar

Taylor loved watching the first 2 BYU games on the with us. She got very into them, cheering and yelling at the tv! We decided to give it a try and take her to her first game at LES! She LOVED it, so we took her to the next game! I was in a better mood, since it was a good football game, so I took so pics. Taylor loves BYU but she calls them YU, cant get her to say the B! She can spot anything BYU from forever away! She has started to learn the fight song, if you say rise and shout she quickly says Cougar Out! This week my Dad pulled up infront of the stadium to drop us off, she got SO excited when she say the stadium and started yelling "That Cougar!" She likes to sit on her dad's lap, or on the seat next to him. She cheers and claps and dances! She also asks "what happen?" a lot! She is our families youngest Cougar fan and fan she is!

Here our so other pics I took!

Bear Lake

WE had so much fun at the beach this year. Taylor loves to swim, which can be scary cause the water does not scare her. She also LOVED playing in the sand with her Dad. We went over the 24th and came home the following Monday! The beach was so nice on Monday cause it was not over crowded with people. We also took a boat ride on Monday morning Taylor enjoyed that but only if she was on Grandma's lap where the wind was not hitting her. Towards the end she started to beg "I swim I swim I play I play...okay?" It was a fun, relaxing trip... We LOVE Bear Lake!

4 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Mark and I celebrated 4 yeas of being married on June 30! The weekend before we, just him and I, were able to go to St. George. We had so much fun being together! We left Thursday night and got there late. Friday morning after sleeping until we felt like getting up we went to the St. George temple! What an experience, it was great to be at the place that makes it possible for us to be together forever. Then we went to eat Cafe Rio, yummy! Then we went back to the house and relaxed until it was time to go get a massage! Then we relaxed again, I must admit we watched coverage on MJ's death! Then we went to see The Proposal. When we got home we went over a played some tennis, with bats(it was really scary!!) then we got a wonderful idea to go for a little jog... it was nine oclock! So much for a little jog, my parents house is up on the ridge, quite the climb to run up. After we got back we felt like we had run 15 miles we fell into bed and slept like babies! Saturday we woke up got so breakfast and then headed to the pool, nice and relaxing. After we hung out at the pool we decided to go tour Brigham Youngs house, Mark had never been and its been awhile since I had! Then we just relaxed and spent some quailty time with each, by this time we both miss Taybug so BAD!
Us at Brigham Young's house

Then our actually anniversary was on a Tuesday. We planned to go to the park
and have a dinner there. Dinner was all packed up to go when Mark pulled
into the driveway. When he pulled up he was on the phone so when he got
out I asked "who was that?" He paused for a second and said he
had an interview at 6... I will admit that I was
super unhappy!! So, I picked Taylor up and we went and ate lunch
at the park. About quarter after 6 Mark should up in his suit!!
We ended up having a lot of fun that night too!

The next day Mark told me his interview did he show up!

Girls Camp 09!

All of our wonderful YW!

Keeping each other warm!

Us doing our skit! We did a dance!

This year it was stake girls camp! The theme for camp for "A soul fitness retreat" and each ward had a name that went along with fitness, we where the Rock Hard Abs! It was at our stake properity up Spainsh Fork canyon! Yes, it rained a lot but we still had fun and let me tell you how impressed I was with our girls! They never complained about the weather, they all had amazing attitudes! My love for them truly grew up at girls camp and I was able to see their amazing spirits. We left last Wednesday, when we got there we had time to set up camp and then it rained! That night we got together with the stake and had a great fireside on dating. Thursday morning had breakfast and went to our mini classes. Our YW president did a great class on nutrition, and let me tell you I will not be eating a donut for awhile... Thanks Dawnie! Then we where scheduled to do the zip-line, so we hiked up to go do got there and it rained! Luckily there was a pavillion close and we took cover, still no complaining about the rain instead we hid out and play Big Booty! Finally, our priesthood holder saved us and made a couple trips up to get us all. That was the biggest storm we had and once we got back to camp we where stuck in our tents for a good hour and a half. That night we got together and had skit night! That was really fun, our ward was the only ward to have their leaders in it! After skits where all done we sang camp songs as a stake and then our ward went back to our fire and sang for a while. Friday morning we did some more mini class went back up and did the zip-line then got ready for the Bishopric to come. When they got there we did our skits for them and they did a skit for us!! In the middle of the Bishoprics skit the stake president pulled and watched, lets us just say I dont think they will ever hear the end of it!! That night the Stake YW presidency planned an amazing night hike for us. We started out in the premortal existence and travel around the mountains to the various stages of life and ended up in Heaven. This made me miss Taylor, Mark was with me, so bad I could not help but cry. The next morning we backup and came home. I am so grateful for the amazing girls we have and I am grateful that I serve with WONDERFUL women who I learn so much from. We did not get cell phone service where we were but "Cell Phone Hill" was not too far and our great camp director made sure I could call and check on Taylor almost everyday afternoon. I love our ward and I loved girls camp this year!

Day at the Zoo!

We got a Zoo pass this year and I am so excited to be able to go whenever we can! We went for my nephew's birthday and we had so much fun! I will admit I think Tay's favorite animal was the chicken that was in with the gorilla! She loved it and would not move from looking at it! She was tired and it was super busy so she spent most of the time in the stroller. Cant wait to go again and again and again!

A couple of weeks ago Mark was honor for being a Marine by the chamber of commerce. Each year they honor 2 service men from each branch of the military and Mark was nominated by his unit! I was a fun evening, with food and entertainment! This should be his last time getting in his uniform. Here are some pics!

First Big Accident

At the end of May we went camping with Mark's family! It was a lot of fun BUT Taylor had her first big fall... not so fun! She fell off the cool flat on her forhead=( It was horrible to see and hear, she could not stop herself with her hands so it was really scary. She was screaming and we ran into our tent, both Mark and I where very shaken up after seeing her little head hit pavement. She was screaming and her nose was bleeding and we where worried she might have a concusion. Thank goodness Mark was able to give her a blessing and couple minutes later we where still worried and she was fine! She healed very fast but I did snap some pics~

Wheeler Farm

On Memorial Day we went to Wheeler Farm and had a pinic and walked all around looking at the animals! Taylor was not too excited about getting close to the cows... they are huge and she is so tiny! She LOVED the chickens and the little chicks, and the little goats. The goat was so little(not sure what a baby goat is actually called) she loved feeding it grass. She also likes the ducks and geese... not like her mom! While we where there Mark challenged me to let one of the geese eat bread from my palm... and I did it. For those that dont know me I DONT LIKE BIRDS, DUCKS OR PRETTY MUCH ANYTHING THING THAT FLIES! For some reason they scare me so I was pretty proud of myself. As we where walking out we saw some Donkeys and she also loved them and sat and feed them for as long as we let her.

Grand Announcement

Mark was called to be the 2nd Counselor in our Bishopric! He was ordained a High Priest and set apart today. We are so happy for this opportunity for him to serve our Heavenly Father. I as his wife am so proud of his worthiness and the willingness he has to serve where he is called. At first I was overwhelmed with the fact that he will be gone more but know that he is needed to serve our ward. He is the youngest High Priest in our stake! I am also very thankful to have family and friends who love and support us! I love and am so proud to be married to a man who honors the Priesthood and loves his Heavenly Father and Savior so much... We have just started a new part of our lives and know we will grow from this experience!

Its GONE!!

This weekend was the week! I decided on Monday that I was no longer going to put off taking the binky away. Awhile ago it become only a sleeping pattern, but I knew I had to do it.
She has been teething really bad for the last couple weeks, getting four top teeth and her molars so I was having a hard time doing it while she was in so much pain. Monday I took her binky and cut the end of it off, she was so confused when she put it in her mouth. She took it out and looked at it and I told her it was broken. Well, I let her have it cause it was not use and she walked around telling me it was broken. My nap time she would not even open her mouth for it, so she cried herself to sleep... this crying only last 5 minutes before she was out. She had a farely good nap, she would sometimes wake up and crying a bit but go right back to sleep. Monday night was the WORST, Mark was at school so I was alone to put her to bed. She cried so hard she was gauging... it was so hard but only last 10 or 15 minutes! Tuesday was alittle bit easier, she didnt cry too much. By Wednesday she was just fine without it!! The only down side is she wakes up about an hour earlier without it. I have been so worried that is was going to be so hard, apparently she was not as dependent as I thought!

My Little Rocker

Yesterday I was sitting on the couch with Tay, I was holding Dani's Ipod. Dani walked in the room and started laughing and told me to look at Tay. She was holding one of the head phones in her ear... so I turned some tunes on for her! She was totally jamming out. When the song would stop she would let me know! Then I changed the song to Beyonce's Single Ladies and she started singing the with it.
Here are song pics-

Spectrum 10k

Last Saturday my Dad, Mark and I ran in a 10k. It started up Snow Canyon and ends in the city of Ivins. The first 3 miles are so pretty, the canyon is amazing. Then you come and and finish running through the streets and end at the church. Running in races is so much fun I love it. Mark is always waaaay ahead of us, his long legs kill me!! Dad and I run together, which is so much fun cause he is the one who got me into running. This year was different cause Dad had been sick for days and he was even up the night before the race sick. His thick head was going to run anyway... I felt so bad cause I think he ran just for me. Throughout the whole race he had cramps in his stomach, and could not run and full pace. I stayed with him until mile 5 when he told me to take it in strong. I cant lie I was so excited cause I wanted to pass someone people and make up some time. I sprinted from just past 5 miles to the end... thought I was going to throw up! I came in at 60 minutes, okay but I would have been happier at 57! Mark came in at 44 minutes and Dad came in at 62.

Sprinting towards the end! Mark finishing

Playin' around in St. George

Last week Tay and I went to St. George with my parents. They had to work down there so we tagged along!! The weather was amazing and Tay realized how much fun she can have outside.

At first she was not sure about the grass but soon became fond of picking it..

That soon got boring and we moved on to dirt... Much more fun!

We had been out playing for 40 minutes so I decided to head back to the house... Taylor did not agree with me. Right when we stepped inside she lost it and keep reaching for the handle, so I let her play in the backyard for 20 more minutes. Over the next couple days we had many more adventures and she soon got smart enough to not want to turn around knowing we where headed home. She also got better about crying when it was time to go inside. We are so excited for summer to come and look forward to many days out in the sun.
